365 Reasons to Smile – Day 362

just be niceI’ve been spending a great deal of time at my ophthalmologist’s office recently. There’s nothing wrong, I’ve just had to return for multiple reasons.

During my last visit, the doctor’s assistant asked someone else in the office if she had a grocery bag. When she brought one into the exam room, the assistant began filling it up with boxes of contact solution.

I asked if she was trying to unload samples on me, and she laughed.

“We just like giving the samples we have to our nicest customers. We have a lot of customers that aren’t very nice.” she said.

It was a simple compliment, but it certainly made me smile.

About Trina Bartlett

I live in the Eastern Panhandle of WV (which a lot of people don't even consider the real West Virginia) with one dog, one cat, a daughter in middle school, a son in high school, and a husband who works strange hours. When I'm not working or being a mom, I can generally be found riding my bike, walking my dog and stirring things up.
